Last weekend was the annual Central Florida Disc Challenge weekend hosted by CFDDC in Lakeland Florida. Saturday proved to be a fantastic day of competition for all involved and even through Team-Bandit only produced a dismal 3 points in the accuracy challenge it was a lot of fun and we can't wait for next years competition to redeem ourselves. Bandit did great but Chris just couldn't hit the mark .... so it's practice practice practice this year in preparation for next years event. Congrats to Matt for posting a new record of 27 in a single round .... now we know what we have to hit !!!  Sunday brought the Quadruped to Central florida which was yet another first for Team-Bandit and we did much better in this event as we posted 4th overall in the mens division and took home some wood :) You can read the play by play over on the official Quadruped site for more info. |

Last night we completed basic obedience through Anne Lippert's training classes. We are pleased to announce we attended every class and loved getting to know ALL the other dogs (and thier owners) during the last seven weeks. Anne and her classes have been instrumental in giving Team-Bandit thier building blocks for which to begin thier more advanced training. Even before completing the classes we are seeing fantastic results and able to handle more advanced routines at a much quicker pace. In addition communication and eye contact between Bandit and Chris could not better. Team-Bandit would like to thank Anne for giving us the tools we needed to be able to train efffectively and have a better dog/handler relationship. KUDOS ANNE !!!! Well, the season is over and this years competition was a lot of fun. I'm really disappointed in having not competed in the first week and just watching however we had a blast that week and every week there after. Everyone in the CFFDC was fantastic to us and we truly appreciate being made to feel welcome. As for last Saturdays competition it was a brisk evening and the dogs were all on edge. Bandit was especially excited and in the first heat we only completed 2 of 5 catches for a total of 5 point. The second heat was much better and we would have gon 5 for 5 had I not thrown one too low for him to catch up to and recieved a total of 10 points with 4 of 5 catches giving us a grand total of 15 points and a Bronze metal for Canis Major 5. Thanks to everyone for a great year and we look forward to seeing you at the Christmas dinner on December 8th Chris and Bandit ! |
