SÃO PAULO, Brazil (AP) -- Three heavily armed robbers stole two Pablo Picasso prints from an art museum in downtown São Paulo on Thursday, the city's second high profile art theft...
It was an extremely hot central florida day for competition at Otis M Andres park yesterday. I'm thinking this is why turnout was not as great as many of the events last year. However, there were two new faces that played and it was great to have them on board. If you have any interest in playing or just want to come by and watch please feel free to do so. If you are going to compete I suggest you swing by the CFDDC website (http://www.cfdiscdogs.com) and give the rules a once over so you understand the format. It can be a long day as there are two heats for each class. Anyway, Team-Bandit introduced a second handler yesterday as Julie decided it was time to step up and throw.
I had been working with her a little but she really learned everything on her own and as a result, TOOK HOME THE GOLD for the Sport Division. Congrats Julie !!!! This was my first attempt in the Super Sport Division with Bandit and I was extremely anxious after coming off the UFO with a gold just the week before. Anyway, In the first heat I tried to make every one a haymaker and was only able to connect on 2 of 4 attempts so I decided to back off and not only go for the end zone with every toss. I had thought I made so many mistakes in the first heat that there was no way for me to recover however I ended up coming home with the Silver. Not a bad day after all. Our videographer took a union break today and was unable to attend. We hope Daniel can come to future events so filming can resume. |
