Just a brief recap from the 2008 Skyhoundz Worlds Congratulations to Tony Hoard and Rory for winning their Second World Championships-Sidenote-Someone asked me if I was disappointed that Gipper and I finished Second to Tony and Rory-"HECK NO they were so AWESOME!! THE DESERVED IT!! NO DOUBTS ABOUT IT!! I was just overwhelmed with tears of Joy to finish where I finished with my liittle Gipper, my wife and I went back to the hotel and just hugged our dogs especially Gipper this night and cried and smiled and all little Gipper wanted was his Chuck it Ball and he was content. - Al Erikson made the journey all the way across the 48 states and Won the Micro Dogs World Championships with George- Shannon And Frank won their Fourth Consective World Pairs Championships. I was sitting watching them do their routine with Preston Dean and I just looked at each other and Said WOW they were so so awesome!! - Kevin Erosky-I dont know of anybody who has worked harder at D/A then Kevin. Time and Time again I saw one itty bitty bad break each time out and Kevin over the years always without a doubt still showed his love for Brooke no matter what. I dont know if you all noticed, but on his second round of D/A Brooke just missed a simple throw that Kevin at the time probably thought and realized it cost him any chance at all of winning the World Title. What did Kevin Do at this point? After this round he called his little Brooke over and Hugged her and told her it was OK and that he Loved her. Kevin and Brooke hung in there and in their third round they came out on top. I went to hug Kevin afterwards and to see the TEARS of JOY in his eyes was so so special!!!!!!!!!!!And to hear him saying Brooke Brooke Brooke. -- The YOUNGSTERS -Chandler Curtis and Preston Dean-Wow what a weekend these two had. Lets just say these two are special and are so great for the sport. Chandler and his mother Christina went home with some hardward and the Third Place World Pairs Title and Preston and his little ten month old Puppy Tawny went home with the Second Place Hardware of Expert Distance and Accuracy. There was a picture taken I hope we get to see soon of Chandler and Preston with Bob Evans. It looked like to Star Wars Jedi Warriors soaking in all the knowledge they could from the Old Wise One Yoda Bob Evans. so great!! - Wow the field. A T and T Field. What a incredible venue site. I mean top notch. The Banquet was awesome all the awesome free giveaways and awards were awesome. - It was such a great weekend and the fellowship was awesome also. It was so neat to see so many of you all. There were so many great volunteers but Nancy Noel and Peter Bloeme and Jeff Perry out did theirselves on this one!!! - The Main Judges-Chuck Middleton-Hero, I apologize for not knowing the correct spelling-Mark Jennings and Ed Jakubowski-Wow what more could you ask for in great knowledgeable and class act Judges!!!!!! - The Canadian Contingent. Wow they are such a awesome group of folks. They cheer the entire time for everybody and every team no matter who what when or where they are!! And I for one GREATLY appreciated it and noticed it. - I wont begin to list the dozens and dozens of great friends I reunited with again due to I just dont want to miss anyone. - Oh I do have to mention Kara Gilmore and her deaf Micro Dog Squirt- Awesome to see the way they worked together no matter what the odds were. Awesome team - Also I have to give a heart felt WOW out to Maty, an animal shelter dog belonging to Troy Kerstetter and Lynne Ouchida of Bend, Oregon who left no doubt in my mind besides only having three legs that he can compete with any other dog out there - And yes my Notre Dame helmet after many many months was finally returned back to me. With some twists up to the last second I had no clue I was getting it back. - Also a special shout out to McKamey Animal Care and Adoption Center they did a awesome job of promoting animal rescue also this weekend at the event - Lastly-THANK YOU EVERYONE FOR BEING THERE AND MY WIFE STACEY MY DOGS ROCKET AND GIPPER AND IRISH THANK YOU ALL FOR YOUR FRIENDSHIPS..
